Unga will not play in 2010 Add Comment    May 19, 2010

Harvey Unga was told he will not be able to return until 2010 winter semester.  Unga who withdrew from BYU at the same time as  his girlfriend, Keilani Moeaki, a member of the BYU women's basketball team, for violations of the honor code.

This begs the questions: How will this effect the BYU running game? And will Unga find himself in the NFL? He could enter in the summer supplemental draft or possibly sign as a free agent.Harvey was the schools leading rusher with 3,455 yards. 

Personally I feel this is a HUGE hit to the BYU offense, having a freshman QB step in with no real security in the run game can be devastating! As a Ute fan, cleary I am ok with this, but I do have some empathy for you cougar fans out there.  But in all honesty who can fill Unga's shoes at running back? You may have other talent at running back but realistically will they be as good as he was?

As for the NFL, I just don't see him making it on a roster this seaon, maybe him and Max Hall can get some NFL experience like the rest of us through Madden 2011!
