Utes crack preseason top 25 Add Comment    May 11, 2010

Sports Illustrated has picked Utah football as the 25th ranked team coming out of springball! We are getting the attention already leaving us in prime position to be considered in the BCS busting conversations yet again.  Not that far fetched of an idea considering last year was a "rebuild" season and we still went 10-3 with close losses to Oregon, who ended up being an ok football team, and also the gut wrenching loss in overtime...ok I know...I'll just leave it at that.  We have a young quarterback with some big time exposure to the league and a coach that always brings the best out of his athletes.  Exciting times to come...We have home field for 3 of our toughest matchups which makes it that much more possible to run the table and crash the BCS party yet again.  We did lose several key players but when was the last time we didn't have other players step up and fill the gaps?  Got to love Whitt and what he is able to do as a coach!!!
