Lotulelei, White Named Preseason All-Americans Add Comment May 18, 2012
Phil Steele's College Football Preview, which will hit the newsstands on June 5, cites Utah's Star Lotulelei as a preseason first-team All-America defensive tackle and John White as a third-team All-America running back. Both were named to Phil Steele's preseason All-Pac-12 first team.
Lotulelei, projected as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft by CollegeFootballNews.com, and White headline a list of 11 Utes on the Phil Steele preseason All-Pac-12 team.
Named to the preseason second team were receiver DeVonte Christopher, offensive guard Sam Brenner and safety Brian Blechen. Named to the third team were defensive tackle Dave Kruger and punter Sean Sellwood, and fourth-team picks included center Tevita Stevens, linebacker Trevor Reilly, cornerback Ryan Lacy and place kicker Coleman Petersen.
