UVU rolls out another huge win for them over the Houston Baptist, 9-2, in the Great West Conference Tournament extending to their 13th consecutive win. Utah Valley University (41-17) is now preparing themselves for their Championship game Saturday May 29th in the Edinburg Baseball Stadium.
UVU's pitcher Zane Gray showed outstanding athletics in Friday's game even though he was struck by a line drive, only allowing 2 players to run across home plate. UVU had control of the game from the beginning. With the the score 8-1 in the 5th inning, UVU players could sit back comfortably and know they could sleep well that night.
UVU will face either Northern Colorado or NYIT in Saturday's championship game.
