UVU Player Signs Contract with LA Angels Add Comment Jul 10, 2010
OREM-Utah The former catcher for UVU's Baseball team, Kevin Arendes, signed a contract Friday with the LA Angels. He will start his career playing for the Orem Owlz. Right where he feels comfortable seeing as how UVU Calls the Brent Brown Ballpark their home stadium. UVU's outstanding preformance this past season and Arendes stats from the past season definitely helped him shine and become noticed.
"I'm thankful to the Angels for giving me this opportunity and for the coaching staff here at UVU and my parents for their support. I'm really excited," said Arendse. (a)
Arendes finnished his championship season with seven home runs, 21 doubles and 48 RBI with a batting avarage of .338 which was close to the teams average of .372.
