UVU's Trac Norris Qualifies for 2010 IAAF World Junior Championships Add Comment    Aug 06, 2010

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Utah Valley's Trac Norris will represent team USA at the upcoming 2010 IAAF World Junior Championships as punched his ticket in the 3000-meter steeplechase on Thursday at the 2010 USA Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa. 

Norris was one of only three qualifiers that finished ahead of the world qualifying time of 9:10.00 as he will represent the USA in Canada in July. In the event Norris ran a 9:08.41 to qualify. The other two qualifiers were Dakota Peachee of High Point University - who won the race with a time of 9:03.43 - and Virginia Tech's Jared Berman (9:04.76). 

The 2010 IAAF World Junior Championships will take place on July 19-25, in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada.
