.... Jace Nye, Zach Parry and Steve Shepherd Are Among 357 Athletes Receiving Honors
A record total of 357 student-athletes representing 118 institutions were named to the 2009-10 United States Track&Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic team. To qualify, student-athletes must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met either the NCAA Division I Indoor automatic or provisional qualifying standards or participated in the NCAA Division I Outdoor Championships (including preliminary rounds) in their respective events.
Weber States JACE NYE (Sr.-Kaysville, Utah / Davis HS), ZACH PARRY (So.-Taylorsville, Utah / Taylorsville HS) and STEVE SHEPHERD (Sr.-Eden, Utah / Weber HS) each participated in the 2010 NCAA Outdoor Meet.
Nye finished his career with a 3.49 gpa in English Teaching. Parry has a 3.73 gpa in Health Administration Services and has two years of eligibility left. Shepherd had a 3.97 gpa in Professional Accountancy and earned his Masters degree in Accounting from WSU this past Spring.
