SALT LAKE CITY The Westminster womens volleyball team released the schedule for 2010 on Wednesday afternoon.  The team will participate in two tournaments including playing host to the season opening Tournament of Champions head coach Kim Norman said. 

The Griffins will face Daemen College, College of Idaho and Azusa Pacific during the two-day event to begin the 2010 season.  The Tournament of Champions will feature four pool play matches in the Behnken Field House on Friday, August 27 and conclude with two pool play matches and the three bracket matches on Saturday, August 28. 

Westminster will travel to Irvine, California for the Asics/Crowne Plaza Labor Day Tournament hosted by Concordia (Calif.) over Labor Day weekend.  The tournament schedule hasnt been announced at this time, but the team will play two matches on both Friday, September 3 and Saturday, September 4. 

The Frontier Conference opener is scheduled for Thursday, September 9 in Billings, Montana against Rocky Mountain College.  That game is followed by the annual trip to Helena, Montana to face Carroll College on Saturday, September 11. 

Montana Western visits the Behnken Field House for the Frontier home opener on Thursday, September 16.  Montana Tech comes to Salt Lake City on Saturday, September 18 with the trip to Great Falls and Havre, Montana coming the following weekend for games at Great Falls and Montana State-Northern. 

The Frontier first half comes to an end on Friday, October 1 as 2009 NAIA National Championship competitor Lewis-Clark State comes to Westminster.  A quick trip to Grand Junction, Colorado for a match with Mesa State College happens on Thursday, October 7. 

Rocky and Carroll make the trip to Salt Lake for matches on October 14 and 16 respectively.  The Griffins visit Montana Western and Montana Tech on October 22 and 23 to prepare for the final home weekend of the season.   

Great Falls makes its annual appearance in Behnken on Thursday, October 28 before Montana State-Northern is welcomed to town for Senior Day on Saturday, October 30.  The regular season ends on Friday, November 5 at Lewis-Clark State. 

The Griffins return to Lewiston, Idaho for the Frontier Conference Tournament on Friday, November 12 and Saturday, November 13.  The NAIA National Championship Opening Round is scheduled for Saturday, November 20 with the final 24 teams converging on Sioux Falls, Iowa from November 30-December 4.
